Horse Racing Tips: Lady Of Arabia Well Backed At Kempton

Another low key day of racing awaits this Wednesday, with action from Wincanton, Kempton and Bangor the only cards on as Irish racing's hiatus continues. Here we analyse the most tipped horses, the Naps of the leaders, bring you a very eye-catching bit of trainer form and of course round-up all the Cheltenham Festival centric racing news...

Follow The Leaders
Interestingly today, the leader Spotlight and the third placed expert West Country take each other on with their best bet of the day. Both horses run in the 16:35 at Kempton, with Spotlight siding with FLASH GORCOMBE for Robert Walford and West Country voting for MOYTIER. The former has been weak in the market so far today, but his form could hardly be better with a C&D success last month showing he loves this sort of test. He is also a spring horse so must be respected. The latter was running a fine race last time he ran here when departing four out and has since finished fourth in a race Flash Gorcombe was fourth in. He has a weight swing today to help him, and it'd be no surprise to see this duo fighting out the finish.
The Punt in second are waiting for the evening action at Kempton and like the chances of WREN OFFICER in the 18:00. Gay Kelleway's runner was left with no chance when starting slowly last time out at Lingfield, but before that had been running with more credit. This includes a win at Newcastle when she managed to get a better position from the gates, and if she can find her rhythm faster here she should have every chance.
- Spotlight - Flash Gorcombe - 16:35 Wincanton - P&L: £12.38
- The Punt - Wren Officer - 18:00 Kempton - P&L: £7.17
- West Country - Moytier - 16:35 Wincanton - P&L: £5.97
Wednesday's Most Popular Naps
Just one horse has been selected by four experts as the best bet of the day, coming in the 19:00 at Kempton. LADY OF ARABIA will take her chance for Eve Johnson Houghton and Hector Crouch, and at the time of writing is an attractive looking 5/1 with BetMGM. The filly has won over this C&D three times in her career and her latest win here 29 days ago was another step up on everything she had done previously. She may well be riding the crest of a wave in terms of form and it will take a good one to stop her here.
Four other horse have been selected by three experts as their best bet of the day, with a couple apiece at Kempton and Bangor. Beginning with the Bangor afternoon selections, in the 15:20 NOTACHANCE is well fancied for Alan King and Tom Cannon. He is a veteran now at ten and doesn't look at his peak anymore, but this is a weaker race and he could outclass them all. In the next race at the track, the 15:50, PITWOOD ROAD is an even money favourite for Terence O'Brien and Brian Hughes. This is his hurdling debut but he is a point and bumper winner and looks to have the best form in here.
The two from Kempton come in the shape of THOUGHTFUL GIFT in the 19:30, a 10/11 fav at the time of writing, and MAN ON A MISSION in the 20:00 race. The latter is more attractively priced at 5/2 than the former, although the former is probably a class apart and looks a safer bet from the trio who have sided with him as the bet of the day.
Stats The Way We Like It
Charlie Appleby is flying along at the moment, with a stunning 83% strike-rate over the last fortnight as six of his seven runners have tasted glory. He sends just one to Kempton today, who has a brilliant chance of making the win-rate for Appleby even better...

Racing News Round-Up
- Constitution Hill's Cheltenham Participation In The Balance - In news that rocked the racing world, CONSTITUTION HILL put n a poor piece of work at Kempton yesterday which saw him drift wildly for the Champion Hurdle.. His price has now settled, but he is still second fav on the Exchange behind State Man and we await more medical tests on the star of the sport
- Sa Majeste Smashed For Pipe - He had been antepost favourite for the Martin Pipe for some time, but many thought he would be rated over 146 and not make it into the race. The British handicapper has stunningly given SA MAJESTE a mark of just 140 in Britain, and this now could go off one of the shortest priced favourites of the Festival.
- French Runner Well Fancied For Boodles - MILAN TINO was last seen finishing third behind the brilliant Sir Gino, and the Noel George trained French horse in JP silks now looks very well handicapped indeed for the Fred Winter. He is rated a full 10lbs less than his French mark (126 vs 136) and is now favourite for the Tuesday Juvenile Handicap.
