Who will win the PDC World Darts Championship?
We have two betting tips for tonight's final both of which can be backed with Parimatch.
Recommended bet 1: Over 10.5 sets - 4/6 with Parimatch
Luke Littler has been nothing short of sensational in reaching the PDC World Darts Championship final for the second consecutive year, but there is little doubt that he faces his sternest test against three-time winner Michael van Gerwen. The Nuke not only eased past Stephen Bunting in the semi-final, but showed remarkable mental resilience for a 17-year-old when his opponent showed signs that he might make a fight of it. He is going to need that in spades against a tougher rival, who looks to have reached the top of his game at just the right time. Van Gerwen, who won the most recent of his three world titles in 2016, blew away Chris Dobey in his semi-final and will not be easy to shake off. The Dutchman’s steely determination should come to the fore and even if Littler finds his early rhythm, Van Gerwen is unlikely to fold, so we can expect the final to go well into the night.
Recommended bet 2: Michael van Gerwen to win 7-6 - 9/1 with Parimatch
Darts has never seen a young talent like Luke Littler, but after losing to Luke Humphries in last year’s final, he now has to deal with a new factor - expectation. The teenager has been the favourite from the outset and victory would cap a dream season in which he won the Premier League in his debut campaign among other trophies, but he might just be a little short in the market to get over the line against such a seasoned campaigner as Van Gerwen. The Dutchman has been here before and looks set to take The Nuke all the way, and it might just be worth chancing the three-time champion to triumph again right at the death in what promises to be a final for the ages.
