Supreme Novices' Hurdle 2022: Big names among 17 entered for Cheltenham opener

All the big names stood their ground at the six-day entry stage for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle, which kicks off the Cheltenham Festival on March 15, with the likes of Constitution Hill, Jonbon, Dysart Dynamo and Sir Gerhard all featuring among the 17 horses entered for the race...
We are all set for an epic renewal of the Grade 1 Supreme Novices' Hurdle and Nicky Henderson is set to unleash an exciting duo in the shape of impressive Tolworth Hurdle winner Constitution Hill and the exciting Kennel Gate winner Jonbon, and both Seven Barrows stars sit prominent in the latest betting for the 2m curtain-raiser and are leading contenders.
Much has been debated over the last few months on what darts Willie Mullins will throw at the contest with the two often coming up for discussion being Dysart Dynamo and Sir Gerhard, who are both entered for the Supreme on day one of the meeting and the Ballymore Novices' Hurdle on day two of the meeting. Well, punters are none the wiser at the moment with Mullins keeping both exciting novices in the Supreme at the six-day stage, but the betting exchanges suggest that Dysart Dynamo could be the spearhead of the Closutton Supreme attack, with Sir Gerhard likely to go off a warm order for the Ballymore.
Mullins has a whopping eight of the 17 horses entered for the Supreme, with the likes of last year's Champion Bumper runner-up Kilcruit, Bring On The Night, El Fabiolo, Grangee and potential handicap eye-catcher State Man all being entered for the Co. Carlow handler.

Gordon Elliott's Mighty Potter has slipped under the radar somewhat for the Supreme, with so much being made about the front few in the betting, and he was last seen beating Three Stripe Life in a Grade 1 at Leopardstown, and that pair feature among the entries for the Supreme.
A dual winner at Cheltenham earlier in the season, the Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained I Like To Move It was last seen running a superb race to finish second to Champion Hurdle candidate Glory And Fortune in the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury, and the battle-hardened Naunton inmate could be one of the leading lights for the British charge alongside the abovementioned Henderson pair.
Of the others, Colin Tizzard's JPR One was disappointing when finishing out the back when fancied for the Betfair Hurdle, but he will look to make amends here, while Gary Moore's Dovecote Novices' Hurdle runner-up Shallwehaveonemore is also entered for what looks a stonking renewal to kick off four fabulous days of National Hunt action.
