Today's Horse Racing Tips: Five to follow at Nottingham on Wednesday

There are five bets for today’s racing at Nottingham.
Nottingham Tips
13:30 – 1m6f Betstival Season At MansionBet Handicap (Class 5)
Soft ground could well have been to blame for the heavy defeat suffered by NORMAN KINDU (1 point win bet at 3/1) at Wetherby last time out. Prior to that, he had recorded a first career success on his first try over the 1m6f distance. He showed a good attitude that day and is only 3lb higher here. Trainer David O’Meara has sent out eight winners in the past fortnight and the in-form Silvestre De Sousa takes over in the saddle.
Norman Kindu
14:05 – 6f MansionBets Summer Of Love-ly Offers Fillies’ Handicap (Class 5)
Having been comprehensively beaten in her first three starts for John Jenkins (twice in a higher grade than today), COMPANY MINX (1 point win bet at 9/1) bounced back to form with a win over six furlongs at Newmarket 19 days ago. A winner on good to firm for Clive Cox as a two-year-old, this grey filly had plummeted down the weights and was also benefitting from the 7lb claim of jockey Liam Browne, who keeps the ride today. Conditions should suit and a chance is taken that she can progress further now that she has run into form. Al Simmo, a winner on her seasonal reappearance at Doncaster, is feared most.
Company Minx
14:35 – 5f MansionBets Betstival Beaten By A Head Handicap (Class 3)
Michael Appleby is one of the leading trainers at Nottingham in recent years and he saddles FANTASY MASTER (1 point win bet at 9/2) in this Class 3 sprint handicap. Both career wins to date have come over this course and distance, including off just 2lbs lower back in October. Talented apprentice Ray Dawson takes off 3lbs and this represents a drop in class from his last run, when he finished down the field at Newmarket. Prior to that, he’d made a promising seasonal reappearance at Sandown and the return to the minimum distance should suit.
Fantasy Master
15:10 – 1m2f MansionBets Betstival Bet 10 Get 20 Handicap (Class 6)
PUCKLE (NAP – 1 point win bet at 5/2) rarely runs a bad race and comes here off the back of three consecutive second-place finishes. Two of those came by just a neck and she is given another chance by the handicapper, who has left her mark unchanged on 60. A dual winner over this ten-furlong trip last season, Mark Johnston’s filly looks set to encounter her optimum ground conditions and will wear cheekpieces for the first time. That headgear could make the difference and gives her a decent chance of recording a third career success.
Puckle
15:40 – 1m½f MansionBet #Betstival Handicap (Class 4)
All eyes will be on Frankie Dettori as he travels to Nottingham for just one ride aboard the John and Thady Gosden-trained Sevenal. However, slight preference is for the top-weight ILZA’EEM (1 point win bet at 17/2), who is unbeaten on turf having scored in commanding style at Redcar back in April. This son of Olympic Glory has to bounce back from a disappointing effort on the All-Weather at Kempton two weeks ago (jockey reported that he stopped quickly), but he was well fancied in the market that day and is worth another chance.
