The Mildmay Novices’ Chase is Grade 1 race for novice chasers, run over a trip of just shy of three miles and one furlong (three miles and 210 yards).
The race is usually contested by the main protagonists from the previous month’s Brown Advisory Novices' Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, and regularly serves as a key pointer for the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
