Cheltenham Festival Lucky 15 Tips For Day 2
Day two of the Cheltenham Festival on Wednesday boasts quality in abundance, with no less than four Grade 1 events on the card, centred around the Queen Mother Champion Chase.
Our Lucky15 picks for day two are below, with the multiple bet combining four picks in four races for 15 bets: 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles and 1 fourâfold acca.
Our selections are carefully selected for maximum value and potential and should give punters a run for their money based on modest stakes.
Key races on Day 2 Cheltenham Festival
Turners Novices' Hurdle at 13:20
BetMGM Cup Handicap Hurdle at 14:40
Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Challenge Cup at 16:40
BetMGM Queen Mother Champion Chase at 16:00
- The Turners Novices' Hurdle is the second of the three Grade 1 novices at this meeting and is run over the intermediate 2m5f trip.
- The BetMGM Cup is a tough handicap hurdle over the same 2m5f trip and demands a quality horse possibly well-handicapped.
- The Grand Annual is run over two-miles and is fast-paced, often going to a progressive chaser with scope for improvement.
- The Champion Chase is the two-mile Championship event for established chasers at the minimum trip. It's relentless in nature and any mistakes are likely to be costly.

Lucky15 selections for Cheltenham Day 2
- No Drama This End (Turners Novices' Hurdle 13:20) Paul Nicholls/Harry Cobden
- Farren Glory (BetMGM Cup Handicap Hurdle 14:40) Gordon Elliott/Jack Kennedy
- Majborough (BetMGM Queen Mother Champion Chase 16:00) Willie Mullins/Mark Walsh
- Be Aware (Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Challenge Cup 16:40) Dan Skelton/Harry Skelton
No Drama This End (Turners Novices' Hurdle 13:20) Paul Nicholls/Harry Cobden
No Drama This End is unbeaten so far and won the Grade 1 Challow Hurdle at Newbury in December, the same contest The New Lion bagged before taking this race last season.
His trainer has compared him to the mighty Denman, second in this 20 years ago, and his strong-travelling style should pay off in what looks sure to be a well-run race with I'll Sort That likely to serve it up.

Farren Glory (BetMGM Cup Handicap Hurdle 14:40) Gordon Elliott/Jack Kennedy
Farren Glory was a Grade 1-winning novice hurdler two seasons ago and ran well last season over fences without truly excelling. He comes here off a good effort in Grade 3 company at Gowran Park and returning to this longer trip promises to suit well based on his Boyne Hurdle third at Navan last season over 2m6f. He sports first-time cheekpieces which could help and his trainer has won this very competitive handicap three times since 2011. He's a big price and could be a juicy addition to this Lucky15.
Majborough (BetMGM Queen Mother Champion Chase 16:00) Willie Mullins/Mark Walsh
Majborough threw away the Arkle here last season with mistakes at three of the last four jumps but he was still within a length at the line. Mark Walsh was much more positive on him at last month's Dublin Racing Festival and they romped to a Grade 1 win, jumping better than ever before. Trainer Willie Mullins has won two of the last four renewals of this race and, if Majborough jumps like he did last time, he's a solid anchor for this bet.

Be Aware (Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Challenge Cup 16:40) Dan Skelton/Harry Skelton
Last but not least, the progressive Be Aware is fancied to go well for Dan Skelton in the Grand Annual. A Stratford winner over further in October on chasing debut, he's been second in all three starts since, including over C&D in an Arkle Trial in November and then behind Lulamba in the Grade 1 Henry VIII Novices' Chase at Sandown. A three-runner Windsor event didn't suit last time, when he was beaten one length in second, but he promises more and boasts some excellent Cheltenham form over both hurdles and fences. He looks to be nicely handicapped off 147.
Staking & Responsibility
A small stakes Lucky15 on these four selections could return as much as £1,170 for a £7.50 stake, if they all win. Punters should consider betting each-way and remember that the unit stake on a Lucky15, e.g. 50p, must be multiplied by 15 to cover all bets in the multiple.
While detailed analysis and informed opinion has gone into choosing these selections, there are no guaranteed returns in racing, though punters would get something back if even one leg is successful. Please gamble responsibly at Cheltenham and remember you must be 18+.
