Follow The Leaders
On The Nose has taken over as the leader in the Naps table after Napping the 33/1 winner of the Lincoln Mr Professor over the weekend. It was a fantastic shout and sent him up to £18 profit, so today he looks to continue the hot streak by backing MY FRIEND SEAN in the 16:05 at Huntingdon.
Tom Lacey's charge has already been well backed and despite looking moderate in maidens and novices, on handicap debut last time out up at Doncaster he was much improved. He should take all the beating here with Stan Sheppard in the plate.
Second place now belongs to West Country and their best bet of the day runs in the 16:20 at Exeter, GINGERBRED. This horse for Philip Hobbs and Johnson White have this horse in red-hot form and after a February success, he was a fine second last time out at Wincanton. He thrives on his racing and much like My Friend Sean, has been well backed this morning.
Brian Flanagan is now in third on the Naps table and his best bet of the day is in the 16:30 at Newcastle, FLEUR DE MER. Hugo Palmer's charge is a course winner and last time out he was unsuited by the steady pace at Kempton, but he still managed to come third. With a stronger pace to aim at here, he should be in the mix.
- On The Nose - My Friend Sean - 16:05 Huntingdon - P&L: £18.11
- West Country - Gingerbred - 16:20 Exeter - P&L: £16.35
- Brian Flanagan - Fleur De Mer - 16:30 Newcastle - P&L: £9.29
Monday's Most Napped Horses
Three horses have gained the votes of three Naps competition entrants respectively as the best bet of the day. The first chronologically runs in the 14:35 at Huntingdon and sees Ben Pauling and Kielan Woods combine with BLUELLA BRESIL. This mares' novice hurdle is Pauling's charge's second run after wind surgery and the vibes seem strong, particularly given the manner of her third last time out at Lingfield which was a career best.
The Skeltons combine for the next horse with three Nap votes, ILLICO DE COTTE in the race after at Huntingdon at 15:05. In a contest with just five runners, the Dan Skelton trained charge looks the most likely winner after winning on debut for his new team and with cheekpieces applied here for his handicap debut.
Finally, the last horse with three Nap votes is GINGERBRED for Philip Hobbs and Johnson White. He is thriving at the moment with a win and a second in his last two starts, so could well be difficult to stop.
How About Stat?
Harry Skelton is still basking in the afterglow of his fantastic Cheltenham Festival, and his 33% win-rate over the last fortnight makes him the most in form jockey riding today. He has three live chances for brother Dan at Huntingdon today...

Racing News Round-Up
- Just five potential British National runners - News that indicates the strength of Irish jumps racing in comparison to Britain right now is that there are now just five British runners set to take part in the Grand National at Aintree in a couple of weeks.
- Highfield Princess Sadly Passes Away - In news that rocked the racing world, star sprinting mare Highfield Princess was announced to have passed away yesterday by Sean Quinn on social media. She was a real star for her owners and trainer, winning four Group 1s, and will be greatly missed.
- Silvestre De Sousa Back With A Bang - After a mixed spell in Hong Kong, Silvestre De Sousa is back in Britain for this flat season and despite not being in the odds grids for many firms, he is eyeing the Champion Jockey title he won in 2015, 2017 and 2018.
