Horse Racing Tips: Kid to Whizz to Catterick glory
We are treated to a brace of National Hunt fixtures and an all-weather Flat card on St David's Day, and the action kicks off at Catterick over the sticks at 13:00. There's also jumping action at Leicester, which begins at 13:30, while the Flat alternative takes place at Newcastle and their twilight meeting starts at 16:50 and goes right through until 19:30. We take a look at all three meetings taking place on Tuesday, and we have a plethora of tips available our dedicated tips section, which come from an array of racing writers, who will attempt to point you in the right direction of a winner.

Brian Hughes launched to a 167 winners for the season on Monday and the champion jockey will aim to taste more success this afternoon and he heads to Catterick for a strong book of rides. The Rebecca Menzies-trained Schalke, who runs in the 15:50 at Catterick has proven extremely popular among our tipsters and a whopping six of them have napped the seven-year-old. A winner last time out at Market Rasen, Menzies' raider has been tipped up by Lee Sobot of the Yorkshire Post, and he is attempting to land back-to-back winning naps, as he had a winning nap at Wolverhampton yesterday.
Other popular naps across today's racing include the George Boughey-trained Purple Power, who lines up in the 17:55 at Newcastle, and the five-year-old mare was last seen finishing an excellent second at north east venue. Five tipsters have put up the Boughey contender as their nap of the day, while Gary Hanmer's Dawn Raider has been napped by three tipsters including Mercury from the Daily Post for the 15:35 at Leicester.

One of the racing tipsters riding the crest of a wave at the moment is The Scout from the Daily Express, as the red-hot tipster has landed three winning naps on the bounce, and will bid to make it four on the spin when their selection runs in the 14:40 at Catterick. Siding with Dr Richard Newland's Whizz Kid, The Scout will be hoping that the six-year-old can break his hurdling duck this afternoon, and at 11/8 he's well fancied to. A smart horse on the Flat in France, he was handed the tough task of trying to down subsequent Supreme Novices' Hurdle favourite Constitution Hill in the Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle at Sandown Park, so today's task looks a lot easier on paper.
Farringdon of the Morning Star remains top of the Naps table with a superb profit of £60.71, and that tipster has sided with Dash Full Of Cash in the 13:50 at Leicester, and the Lucy Wadham-trained raider was last seen finishing second at Kempton, so will look to go one better today.
For those punters aiming to side with a bigger-priced runner then look no further than Micky Hammond's Brickadank, who is a huge 16/1 shot for the 13:00 at Catterick, and that raider is the selection of Matt Polley of The Ipswich Star, while Royal Advice (14/1) has also been napped at a big price to win the 19:30 at Newcastle
