Wednesday's Most Popular Naps
One horse is by far the most popular Nap of the day today, and runs for Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero in the 14:05 at Doncaster. SNOWY EVENING has won two of his last three starts and particularly on the last run, looked to be a seriously well handicapped animal with plenty in hand. He faces a six pound rise for today's assignment but that looks to be fair enough and he should go close for the SEVEN experts that are supporting him.
A couple of odds-on chances are backed by three judges as the best bet of the day, with high class Mullins mare GALA MARCEAU looking very strong at Punchestown in the 14:45 contest. This will be her final run before a crack at the Mares' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival and she should win in a canter if anywhere near her best form. The other runner with three Nap votes is NOTABLE SPEECH in the 19:00 at Kempton. Appleby and Buick combine with this well-bred colt and if building on his maiden win 25 days ago he looks the one to beat.
Follow The Leaders
At the top of the Nap tables standings, Spotlight still reigns supreme and their best bet comes at Ludlow this afternoon in the 14:25 contest MALAITA has already been heavily backed this morning and it is clear to see why, with the mare bringing outstanding form claims on the back of some solid placed runs this season. If she wins then the lead of Spotlight will be extended even further.
West Country are in second and fancy LEADER IN THE PARK to do the business in the 13:30 at Doncaster. The in-form combination of Ben Pauling and Ben Jones team up for this one and despite some patchy form of late, if he bounces back to his best he should go close. Finally, The Punt of the Racing Post are siding with CANTY BAY as the best bet of the day in the closing race at Ludlow, the 17:15. Despite a fall on his penultimate start, he showed he was no worse for wear when a fine third at Lingfield last time out and he must be a player now facing a real test of stamina, something he is sure to relish.
- Spotlight - Malaita - 14:25 Ludlow - P&L: £17.71
- West Country - Leader In The Park - 13:30 Doncaster - P&L: £9.13
- The Punt - Canty Bay - 17:15 Ludlow - P&L: £6.63
How About Stat?
