Horse Racing Tips: Two Of Most Napped Horses Clash At Kempton

This Wednesday is definitely a low key day of racing, with just Catterick and Kempton hosting meetings. Nevertheless, there are still some interesting runners to hone in on and we bring you the Naps, stats and news right here...

Follow The Leaders
West Country are top of the table in the Naps section but they don't have a selection today following the Nottingham and Catterick abandonments. On The Nose is second and could gain some valuable ground if his Nap DARK DREAMER wins at Kempton at 20:00, although the horse is being heavily backed all the time and could well go off odds-on.
Robert Cowell has booked Jack Mitchell for the ride and while the horse hardly pulled up any trees in his three race maiden campaign last season, he is now handicapping and the money behind him could prove telling.
Spotlight are in third and also head to Kempton for the best bet, in the final race which follows Dark Dreamer's assignment at 20:30. This looks a tricky affair but Richard Hughes's CRACKER STAR is the most likely winner and it is clear why Spotlight has Napped him.
David Egan is booked and after a smashing handicap debut last time out, in a race in which he looked the best horse and was only beaten by greenness following a five month absence, he looks to have everything in his favour here to go one place better stepped up in trip.
- West Country - ABD - P&L: £10.62
- On The Nose - Dark Dreamer - 20:00 Kempton - P&L: £9.11
- Spotlight - Cracker Star - 20:30 Kempton - P&L: £4.14
Wednesday's Most Popular Naps
Kempton once again is the place for the most Napped horse on Wednesday, with HICKORY in the 19:00 at the track being backed by four experts to claim the victory. Saffie Osborne is booked to ride for James Fanshawe and the six year old has won over this course and distance before, so we know he will enjoy the test. He also goes well fresh so despite disappointing last time out when down the field at Ascot, the 179 day break will be a positive.
Four horses have been backed by three experts respectively as the Nap of the day and one takes on Hickory, REVOLUTIONISE. Rossa Ryan is booked for Stuart Williams on this course and distance winner and while he is now eight, he has been in good form including running a fine race in second last time out. He is fit and ready to go and looks rock solid for place positions. CRACKER STAR has the support of one of the leaders in the Naps table and two others in the 20:30 at Kempton.
In Kempton's 16:50, BRIONI also has three Nap votes and Alan King's charge looks the one to beat on the back of a few solid efforts when clearly learning the game. Finally, the last horse that has three Naps votes runs at Catterick in the 15:55 and is LANGHOLM. Michael Dods is a veteran at eight, but has been in good form of late despite not winning for a while and this looks a fantastic opportunity.
How About Stat?
Jack Channon is one to keep onside at Catterick, with a huge five wins from six runners. He sends just one to the track today who is attractively priced, with the trainer hoping to further enhance his stunning 83% strike-rate.

Racing News Round-Up
- Aintree Looking Likely To Be Soft - The weather forecast in the North West of England does not look good over the next few days and that could lead to a proper soft ground Grand National.
- Murphy Misses Out On The Craven - Oisin Murphy has copped a six day ban for excessive use of the whip, meaning he will sadly miss the whole Craven Meeting at Newmarket.
