ITV Racing Tips: RaceOlly's five selections from Newcastle and the Curragh

RaceOlly is back with another five selections across Saturday's ITV Racing card from Newcastle and the Curragh...
1.50 Newcastle - Tipperary Tiger
Tipperary Tiger is a two time all weather winner who’s consistently ran well on the surface including placing off this handicap mark. The first time cheekpieces worked very well last time when winning at Hamilton and they are retained here as is the winning jockey Sam Fielden. Karl Burke is in flying form and has a good record here if backing all his runners with a £1 win stake for a £48.80 profit.

2.25 Newcastle - Mondammej
Mondammej was all set to race in the Group 1 Kings Stand at Royal Ascot last time but refused to enter the stalls which is hopefully not going to be a recurring issue. Loves his racing and hasn’t had a break since beginning his career which has lately seen him place at listed level and ran a two length fourth in the Group 2 Temple Stakes finishing upsides and just behind proven Group 1 performers. Form at Newcastle reads 1232227, the 7th when beaten just two lengths in a very good race around here which didn’t run to suit. Most of those races over six furlongs so todays trip no issue. Can also make a case for Annaf at an equally big price.

2.55 Newcastle - Dance To Paris
Dance To Paris is worth taking a chance on here at a huge price. Very capable of smart form on her day and has bounced back from lesser efforts plenty of times before so last time at Goodwood when fancied can be forgiven. Return run at Chester was very good when finishing in front of a few better fancied horses in this today. One pound rise fair and three time all weather winner who’s last flat win came off one pound lower. Lucy Wadham has a 67% strike rate when combining with Connor Beasley and is 1/1 at Newcastle races.

3.30 Newcastle - Graphite
Graphite has some very smart form in the books and has always needed the run after a break so return at York can be forgiven and Kempton run when a close third was very good. Very interesting jumped up in trip for a trainer making the over 500 mile round trip here for the first time in the Northumberland Plate. Older horses have done well in this down the years and Ray Dawson has done well when called upon by the yard this season winning two of his six rides.
Bet365 are best price 33/1 paying six places, with William Hill paying down to the first SEVEN home at 28/1.

3.45 Curragh - French Claim
It’s worth taking a chance on French Claim here in the Irish Derby who ran well as a two year old including when finishing upside a few of these in a Group 3 but returned at three years old by bolting up at Cork in a race where the others have been highly tried since and then didn’t have the speed to get to Stone Age in the Derby trial, that race was also full of horses who have been highly tried since and are clearly well thought of. The further step up in trip looks ideal here and trainer arrives in good form having won with three of his six runners over the last two weeks, he also has a very eye catching 28% win rate at the Curragh and a 30% win rate when joining forces with WJ Lee.
Good luck if you're following!
