Cheltenham Friday Tips: Check out Raceolly's Best Bets for Day 4 of the festival

After tipping up 40/1 Kim Muir winner Chambard on Thursday, and also landing some notable placed efforts, RaceOlly is back for his best bets for the final day of the Cheltenham Festival, which includes a top tip for the Cheltenham Gold Cup...
13:30 - Triumph Hurdle
The Moore’s have a horse on their hands to avenge Goshen here and importantly one that wouldn’t mind the ground if it were still to be soft. PORTICELLO's only defeat came when a battling 2nd to rival Knight Salute who went in to the battle with more experience and Porticello for sure learnt a fair bit from that day and jumped a fair bit better at Haydock last time. That Haydock race hasn’t been a great trial for this in previous years, but Porticello was so impressive it’s hard not to take notice of it. Hits the key stat of a bit of experience before coming here and plenty of other stats including winning last time and winning over half his races, and he’s won in one of the fastest times from these so far when winning at Chepstow. Interestingly 15 from the last 17 were by a Group 1 winning sire which is another tick for Porticello

14:10 - County Hurdle
This race should suit BROOMFIELD BURG down to the ground with a fast pace on the cards and wasn’t seen to best effect in the Betfair Hurdle when sent off a very well fancied 11/4 fav. Hard to see why he’s 25/1 now with excuses for that and with this race certain to help him settle a lot better. six-year-olds have won four of the last nine renewals and have a very good record in this, likewise novice hurdlers with seven of the last 18 ticking that box. Hits the stats for ratings also running here off 134 and ran well here at the track over Christmas when 2nd to one that was very well handicapped and who won and placed in a Grade 3 handicap since.

14:50 - Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle
BARDENSTOWN LAD might have been operating at a slightly lesser level than this to date, but he boasts valuable course form when winning over course and distance and carrying a penalty last October. Won easily again after a 106 day break after that at Musselburgh with a double penalty and proved himself to be a proper stayer in his short career to date. Connections had a great place last year with Streets Of Doyen, who won the same race as Bardenstown Lad at Cheltenham before coming here. Hits the stats with plenty of experience, finishing in the first two last time out and a course winner which always helps.

15:30 - Cheltenham Gold Cup
The huge downpour of rain is a god send for ROYALE PAGAILLE, who was well fancied by a fair few last season when coming here as a novice but finished lame and wasn’t able to show his true self. Another great run when winning under a huge weight again at Haydock in the Peter Marsh and a good show last time out on better ground in the Denman and had excuses when well behind A Plus Tard on seasonal debut (a wound on his leg no help for sure). Hits the stats being an eight-year-old like six of the last nine winners and still lightly raced and French breds have a fantastic recent record and he hits the stats for his rating of 166. Plenty to like at very decent odds.

16:10 - Hunters' Chase
COUSIN PASCAL caused a huge upset when winning the fox hunters at Aintree last April but has since proven that to be no fluke and was a little unlucky not to win at Hereford when pegged late on after a terrible blunder at the last. Hits the trends for age with all the last seveb winners being 10 or 11 and like 28 of the last 33 winners he started his career in point to points. Also hits a trend of 12 of the last 14 winners by finishing in the first three last time. James King gave 66/1 shot Didero Vallis a great ride here on Thursday to finish 3rd in the Kim Muir and is a great asset in the saddle.

16:50 - Mares' Chase
Venetia Williams is having a fantastic festival, mostly due to the rain no doubt, but she’s had some monster prices placing and winnings this week and PINK LEGEND is still overpriced with that in mind. Boasts course and distance winning form last year and beat Vienna Court at Huntingdon in January and is six times the price of that rival here. Wasn’t running well last time when falling but has bounced back from lesser efforts before and is worth risking at a massive price

17:30 - Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle
THE GOFFER comes here taking the Blow By Blow route which was the yard's winner of this race in 2018 and has improved every run this season with more improvement to come no doubt. Showed a good attitude when winning at Thurles and five-year-olds do well in this and won three of the last eight runnings of this. It also seems to be handy to have won a big field race before coming here and The Goffer checks that box when winning at Navan just before Christmas when beaten 16 others when easily winning. Form on soft ground is handy and good handicap mark of 140 with nine of the last 10 winners being rated between 139 and 145, the other was rated 135.
