Trainer Ciaran Murphy used to be a pre-trainer of horses for Gigginstown, but with Enjoy D'allen he will be hoping to secure a winner of the biggest jumps race in the world for their main rival owner in JP McManus. Murphy helped mould past National winners such as Rule The World and Tiger Roll in his previous career, so knows what to look for in an Aintree contender. It was on his recommendation that McManus forked out the demanded fee to take ownership of Enjoy D'allen.

A strong stayer with a sound jumping technique, it is clear to see why both his trainer and new owner are so enamoured with Enjoy D'allen's prospects in the Aintree showpiece. He began life with Peter Fahey but subsequently changed hands and joined Murpby in late 2020. His hurdling career was nothing spectacular, in fact he never shed his maiden tag, but over fences he has come into his own a bit more. Last campaign he was a model of consistency, never finishing out of the first three in his eight starts. The run that particularly whets the appetite for his Grand National claims is undoubtedly his third behind Freewheelin Dylan in last April's Irish Grand National. Sent off a 40/1 outsider that day his jumping was exemplary and his stamina was there for all to see as he finished with plenty in the tank, albeit he could not close the gap on the winner or a horse we now know to be high class in second, Run Wild Fred.

This campaign he has not yet tasted victory but all three of his runs have exemplified once more why he could be so suited to the unique test of the Grand National. His stamina is unquestionable and if regular pilot Connor Orr can get him into a good jumping rhythm then he looks to have leading claims.
