Henry De Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore teamed up last year to send Minella Times to victory in the 2021 Grand National, and that Irish-trained raider will be bidding to emulate the legendary Red Rum and more recently Tiger Roll by winning back-to-back runs, but the latter of that duo will not feature, as he ran his final race at last month's Cheltenham Festival.
Ted Walsh's Any Second Now and Gordon Elliott's Delta Work are another brace of Irish-trained raiders bidding for glory, and they are both prominent figures in the betting, while the likes of Escaria Ten and Snow Leopardess are another brace of class acts set to line up in this year's race.
One thing is for sure, though, that the race is sure to be a sensational spectacle for all to enjoy, and it's all set for a wide open contest, with a plethora of horses lining up with a huge chance of bagging the coveted prize.
