Horse Racing Tips: Lamar can score at big price on Monday
On the eve of the Punchestown Festival, we focus our attentions on Monday's racing and there's six race meetings taking place across the UK & Ireland, and we pick out some of the best eye-catching tips from a host of racing writers. It all kicks off today at Lingfield Park at 13:05, while the final meeting to begin is Thirsk, whose Flat card starts at 17:05...

Jeffrey Ross of the Western Morning News has been in terrific tipping form of late and is bidding for a fourth winning nap on the bounce on Monday and he heads to Windsor's 17:25 contest for his best bet of the day. Siding with the 9/1 chance Ignac Lamar, who is bidding to break his maiden tag at the third time of asking, Ross will be hoping the Rod Millman-trained raider can build on a fine third placed finish last time out.
Two other tipsters have racked up a hat-trick of winning naps in recent days and Lee Sobot of the Yorkshire Evening Post heads to Lingfield Park today, and he's backing the Evens favourite Secret Glow in the 14:40 race. The other tipster seeking a four-timer is Jason Heavey from The Star, who is backing the Richard Spencer-trained 15/8 shot The Mad Monk, who is a leading player in the 16:40 at Southwell.
Jon Freeman of The i has notched up a brace of winning selections over the last two days, and he heads north of the border to Ayr for his best bet of the day, and he's siding with Jim Goldie's Call Me Ginger, who is a 3/1 chance for the 15:25 at Ayr, and the six-year-old is looking to improve on a sixth placed finish last time out.

Currently leading the naps table is Expert Eye from On The Nose, and the tipster that has bagged two winners from the last three selections is heading to the 17:15 at Naas for the best bet of the day. Carlton Banks is the selection of Expert Eye, and available at 11/4, at the time of writing, the course and distance winner will be looking to get his head in front at the Irish track again on Monday.
Andrew Mount from Racing & Football Outlook is sitting in second spot in the naps table, and he's another bidding for a third win in four naps, and he heads to Thirsk for a gargantuan priced nap. Mount is backing the 33/1 outsider Capall Mear in the 17:05 race at the Yorkshire venue, and the Adrian Nicholls-trained maiden will need to improve on some mediocre efforts during his fledgling career, but any market moves will certainly be eye-catching.
The most popular nap on Monday is the David Menuisier-trained Goldsmith, who is a short-priced 10/11 favourite for the 14:05 at Lingfield, and that raider has been napped by three racing writers on a busy day's action.
