Horse Racing Tips: Arnold to hand form tipster hat-trick at Beverley
We are treated to six horse racing fixtures on Thursday and the showpiece action comes from Lingfield Park as the Racing League heads into week two in front of the ITV racing cameras, and all that all-weather action kicks off at 17:10 and goes right through until 20:10. There's afternoon action from Ffos Las, Beverley and Salisbury, while the alternative evening racing takes place at Leopardstown and Tramore. You can check out all the latest tips from a host of racing writers here...
The Score from Racing TV has been in tremendous tipping form over the last couple of days, and the form tipster heads to Beverley's Flat card this afternoon to try and make it three winning naps on the spin. The tipster has picked out the Ann Duffield-trained Arnold, who is a 7/1 chance for the 14:45 at Beverley, and the eight-year-old was last seen finishing second at Newcastle off a mark of 53 and he will line up off the same mark on Thursday, so has to be respected. Incidentally, the Duffield charge has proven to be the most popular nap of the day, as not only has The Score napped the 7/1 shot, but three other tipsters have put him up as the best bet of the day.
The second most popular nap of the day runs in the Racing League this evening at 19:40, and it's the Andrew Balding-trained Neandra, who is a 3/1 chance for the 1m 4f handicap contest and Garry Owen from the Daily Record, who sits second in the naps table, is hoping that Balding's charge can build on a Lingfield Park success last time out.
Expert Eye remains at the top of the table with a profit of £45.61 and the first rate tipster also heads to Lingfield Park this evening for the nap of the day, and Expert Eye has picked out the Richard Fahey-trained Cubana Habana as the nap of the day in the 18:40 race. The three-raced gelding was a winner two starts ago and finished second on his last start, so heads into the contest in form and has to be respected at 11/2.
Matt Polley from the Ipswich Star has notched up back-to-back winning naps on Tuesday and Wednesday and the form tipster heads to Lingfield this evening for the best bet of the day, and Polley has put up the 11/4 chance Sunningdale in the 18:10 contest. Tenth in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot on his second start, the Gleneagles colt then finished fourth at Newbury and shaped like there could be more to come now sent into nursery company on Thursday evening.
There's Group 3 action at Salisbury this afternoon with the Sovereign Stakes providing the day's feature race at 16:15, and while there's only four runners in the 1m contest two of them have been napped for glory. Modern News is currently the red-hot Evens favourite for the event and is the best bet of Rory Paddock of the Jersey Evening Post, while the 4/1 shot Tempus will look to cause a minor shock and that charge has been napped by both Andrew Bladen from the Wolverhampton Express & Star and Glendale from The Scotsman.
For those punters looking for a big-priced selection then could side with the 16/1 shot Mumayaz, who is a lively outsider for the 17:40 at Lingfield and is the best bet for Andrew Mount from the Racing & Football Outlook, while Karl Hedley from The Irish Post has napped the 16/1 Ascraeus in the 15:40 at Salisbury.
