Horse Racing Tips: Reach For The Moon tipped for Sandown glory for The Queen
Having advised of a 13/8 winner in Wednesday's column, we now turn our attentions to Thursday's racing and there are six meetings taking place across the UK & Ireland with the afternoon racing coming from Market Rasen, Wolverhampton and Lingfield. There's a trio of fixtures this evening from Chelmsford, Tipperary and Sandown, with the latter providing some decent Flat action and a host of tips come from the Esher track...

John & Thady Gosden's Reach For The Moon was touted as a potential Epsom Derby candidate at the start of the season, but a slight injury niggle has kept him out of that Classic, but he will make his hotly-anticipated return on Thursday in the Listed Heron Stakes at Sandown at 19:15. The Solario Stakes hero is currently a 7/4 chance to claim the win, and while the Gosden team have said he will come on for the run three of our tipsters fancy Her Majesty The Queen's charge to claim glory. Marlborough of the Daily Telegraph and Jason Heavey from The Star are just two of the tipsters hoping the class act can kick off his season with a win.
Reach For The Moon hasn't proven the most popular selection on Thursday though as the Charlie Appleby-trained Deciduous has been napped by five tipsters for the 18:15 at Sandown. The Dubawi gelding has won two of his three starts so far and will look to continue his progression in handicap company today and the Godolphin raider has been tipped by the likes of Fortunatus from the Sheffield Star and Templegate from The Sun.
Other notable best bets at Sandown include New Heights and Professional Widow, who have both been napped by three tipsters for the 20:20 at Sandown, while the red-hot Gosden-trained favourite Francesco Clemente is an 8/11 chance for the 19:45 at Sandown and is the final horse today that has been napped by three tipsters.
Reach For The Moon
Veering away from the Flat action at Sandown, Expert Eye from On The Nose, who sits well clear at the top of the naps table heads to Market Rasen's afternoon National Hunt fixture and has napped the Rebecca Menzies-trained Ask Paddington in the 14:40 race. Currently a 7/2 chance, the eight-year-old was last seen finishing second at Hexham earlier this month, and he will be looking to go one better today.
Lawrence Taylor of At The Races has been in tremendous tipping form racking up three winning naps on the bounce, and he heads to Wolverhampton's 14:20 event for his best bet of the day. Karl Burke's Quick Change was a winner at Dunstall Park back in January and will now look to follow up on Thursday afternoon, and he's an eye-catching contender for Taylor, who will look to improve on a decent profit of £11.63.
Rory Delargy of The Irish Field is another in decent tipping form having notched up back-to-back winners and he is another that has found a National Hunt best bet at Market Rasen this afternoon, and Delargy is backing the 14/1 chance Townshend in the 15:40 race. Another big-priced best bet that could be worth following is the Ali Stronge-trained Lake Sand, who is a 10/1 chance for the 19:35 at Chelmsford, and is the best bet of Farringdon from the Morning Star.
