Horse Racing Tips: Jacks can provide Profit at Ludlow
Having advised a 100/30 winner in yesterday's column, we are back with our daily tipping preview for Thursday's racing which comes from Chepstow, Sedgefield, Cork and Ludlow. We pick out some of the most popular naps in our naps table, as we attempt to taste more success on a relatively busy day's action...
The David Evans-trained Jacks Profit has won his last two outings - one on the Flat and one over hurdles - and the flourishing four-year-old will attempt to land the hat-trick this afternoon when he lines up in the 14:25 at Ludlow over the sticks. Available at 2/1, at the time of writing, the colt has proven extremely popular with our racing tipsters as three of them - including Newsboy from the Daily Mirror - have napped the progressive runner, who looks to be one of the leading contenders for glory today.
While Welsh Charger is the market leader, at the time of writing, that raider hasn't been napped for the 14:25 event, but the one to catch the eye of two tipsters is Gallopade, who lines up for Warren Greatrex and Harry Cobden and the 4/1 shot is looking to build on a third place finish at Ludlow last time out and shaped like there could be more to come over timber.
Chepstow host a bumper eight-race card and the Welsh venue play host to the most popular nap of the day with the Tim Dennis-trained Imperial Joe being napped by four tipsters for the 16:20 contest. Napped by the likes of Picksfromthepaddock and Chris Wright from the Liverpool Echo, Imperial Joe was last seen winning at Taunton and off a 5lbs higher mark this afternoon will look to make it back-to-back wins. Available at 5/1, he looks more than capable of running a big race off 99, so has to be respected.
The Score from Racing TV has been in fabulous tipping form this week notching up winning naps on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and the flourishing tipster will bid for a four-timer on Thursday and heads to Ludlow's Jumps card for the best bet of the day. The Score has napped the Charlie Longsdon-trained No No Tango, who is currently an eye-catching 9/2 chance for the 17:20 contest and the son of Sixties Icon is looking for a first win this afternoon. Second at Huntingdon two starts ago, he then finished third at Kempton, so he's shown some signs of talent and is aiming to get his head in front today.
Whistler from the Sunday Telegraph is another form tipster bidding for more success and the hat-trick-seeking tipster has napped the 5/1 chance Domaine De L'Isle, who is an eye-catching contender in the 15:10 at Chepstow, while current naps table leader The Punt from the Racing Post has napped Concetto in the 16:10 at Ludlow.
Postdata from the Racing Post heads to Sedgefield this afternoon for the bet of the day and has napped the well-fancied 11/8 Trac in the 16:35 contest, while for those looking for a selection at Cork could side with Calico, who is an 11/8 chance for the 14:05 race and is the best bet of Andrew Bladen from the Wolverhampton Express & Star.
