Horse Racing Tips: Southwell and Wolverhampton tips on Tuesday
We will have another day without National Hunt racing, but the all-weather racing keeps the action going and Southwell and Wolverhampton will provide some Flat action for punters to get stuck into. We preview all the action here and pick out some of the most eye-catching naps from our racing tipsters...
Jon Freeman from The i has been in fabulous tipping form of late racking up two winners on the bounce and the form tipster will head to Southwell on Tuesday to try and land more success, and he has napped the 8/1 shot Thegreatestshowman in the 14:13 contest. Amy Murphy's charge is a course and distance winner, but hasn't tasted victory since October 2021, so will be looking to break a long losing run this afternoon. A winner off 79 in that October success, the six-year-old will line up off 65 today, so if he can recapture any sort of form then he has to be respected at eye-catching odds.
Staying at Southwell's afternoon card, Rory Delargy from The Irish Field is backing the 12/1 shot Island Of Skye in the 12:43 as he looks to build on his current eighth placed position in the naps table. George Margarson's three-year-old was last seen finishing eighth of 12 at Kempton off a mark of 56, but has been dropped to 52 for this afternoon's contest, so while he will need to improve on that Kempton outing he has to be respected at double-figured odds.
Other eye-catching naps at Southwell include the 3/1 chance Skyblue Expert, who is the nap of the day of myracing in the 13:43, while an hour later in the 14:43 the likes of Jacks Profit (The Punt from the Racing Post) and Lednikov (On The Nose) have both been put up as naps of the day.
The most popular nap of the day runs at Wolverhampton in the 17:45 with four tipsters napping the Richard Hughes-trained Aussie Banker, who is a 3/1 chance to land victory. Both Lambourn from the Racing Post and Glendale from The Scotsman have napped the Hughes raider, who has bagged two wins from five runs this year and is looking to improve that excellent record on Tuesday.
A competitive event will be off at 18:45 with the Michael & David Easterby-trained Min Till and Keith Dalgleish's Chookie Dunedin both attracting three naps from our tipsters. The former is available at 100/30, at the time of writing, and is the best bet of the likes of Rockavon from the Sunday Mail and Lawrence Taylor from At The Races, while the 7/1 chance Chookie Dunedin is the best bet of Karl Hedly from The Irish Post.
The Brigadier and Andrew Bladen sit first and second in the naps table and that pair have napped the same horse at Wolverhampton with the pair of tipsters putting up the red-hot 5/4 favourite Mr Inspiration in the 18:15 at Wolverhampton. John & Thady Gosden's raider will make his debut this afternoon, but the Dubawi colt has an exciting pedigree and could be a smart prospect for a top team.
