Horse Racing Tips: Tuesday's best bets from Punchestown and four other meetings
There's a sensational opening day's racing at the Punchestown Festival on Tuesday, and we pick out some of the standout selections from a host of racing tipsters, who head to the Irish extravaganza for the best bets of the day. Alternative racing on Tuesday takes place from Yarmouth, Brighton, Nottingham and Ayr...

There's a mouth-watering renewal of the Punchestown Champion Chase at 17:25 and the Grade 1 showpiece will see the reigning Queen Mother Champion Chase hero Energumene lock horns with his stablemate Chacun Pour Soi, and it's the latter that has proven extremely popular with some of our racing writers as three of them have tipped him up for the 2m event.
Andrew Bladen from the Wolverhampton Express & Star, Myracing.com and The Scout from the Daily Express have all napped the 13/8 second favourite, who was a spectacular winner of the event 12 months ago and is aiming to retain his coveted crown for Willie Mullins.
Expert Eye from On The Nose is currently spearheading the Naps table with a fine profit of £11.50 and the in-form tipster has picked out the Gordon Elliott-trained Felix Desjy in the 16:50 contest at Punchestown. The Gigginstown House Stud-owned raider is available at 12/1 for the hugely competitive handicap hurdle and he will take on the likes of 12/1 chance Gua Du Large, who is the best bet of Moorestyle from the Daily Star Sunday and 20/1 chance Elegant Lass, who is the best bet of Brian Flanagan from the Irish Daily Star.
Other eye-catching naps on day one of the Punchestown Festival include Fury Road, who is a 6/1 chance for the Grade 1 Champion Novice Chase at 18:35 and is the selection of Jon Freeman from The i, while The Score from Racing TV has put up Party Central in the opening race at 15:40.

Veering away from the action at Punchestown, there's an eye-catching contender running in the 15:30 at Nottingham and that's the Mick Appleby-trained Khatwah, who is a 9/4 chance for the event and has been napped by three of our racing writers, which include Marlborough from the Daily Telegraph.
The only other horse running on Tuesday that has been tipped up by three racing writers is the Nigel Tinkler-trained Piastrella, who is an 11/4 chance for the 15:00 at Nottingham, and that raider is aiming to record a third win in four races in a trappy looking contest today.
For those looking for a bigger priced contender could look the way of the John Gallagher-trained Batchelor Boy, who has been tipped up at 14/1 for the 14:20 at Brighton, and that contender is the selection of Melissa Jones from the Mirror Online.
