Most Napped Horses Today
The most popular selection on today's Naps Table is Surrey Noir in the 21:00 Kempton with RP Ratings, The Score (Racing TV) and Jason Heavey (The Star) all selecting the Charlie Fellowes-trained colt as their best bet for today. Beaten by a short-head in a head-bobbing finish over course and distance two weeks ago, a replication of that effort will surely see him go close again today.
HorseRacing.net says: It's easy to see why Surrey Noir is a popular selection for this race given the question marks over all his rivals. Given his consistent nature and form over course and distance this one all comes down to price. Having been put in at 10/3 on the tissue, he currently trades at around 13/8. The suggestion is to watch the market and pull the trigger if he returns to around the 2/1 mark.

Follow The Leaders
Chris Wright of the Liverpool Echo shot clear in the naps competition when he correctly picked out Dodgy Bob as a 25/1 winner last Friday. His P&L to a £1 stake currently stands at an impressive £45.98, well clear of second placed The Punt (Racing Post) who has been in sparkling form with three winners from his last five selections and naps table legend, Farringdon (Morning Post), who has two winners from his last five selections.
Leader's Naps:
- Chris Wright (Liverpool Echo) - Sir Rodneyredblood (Southwell 17:30)
- The Punt (Racing Post) - Regal Envoy (Bath 14:15)
- Farringdon (Morning Star) - Regal Envoy (Bath 14:15)
A couple of eye-catching selections sit at the top of today's table. Firstly, after tasting big priced success with a 25/1 winner last week, Chris Wright has once again picked out a juicy long-odds pick in the last race at Southwell today. Sir Rodneyredblood is a 12-time winner on the all weather but has lost his way a bit recently so will need to rediscover some of his old spark when he lines up on the tapeta surface today. At around 20/1 though, it's easy to see why the Liverpool Echo tipster thinks he is worth chancing.
The second eye-catching selection is Regal Envoy in the 14:15 Bath, namely because he is the selection of both 2nd placed The Punt and 3rd placed Farringdon. The William Knight-trained colt has an excellent record at Bath with form figures of 112 at the south west track. The four-year-old was hampered at the start at Beverley on Saturday but made some headway towards the finish indicating he is in good sorts. A return to Bath could also see him making a return to the winners enclosure.
