14:00 Epsom - Cazoo Woodcote British EBF Stakes
ESTATE stands out here at the prices as already has form with a few of these and reasons to turn it around. Drawn widest of all at Chester and ran green when beaten three lengths behind two reopposing rivals here and much better last time when him and Commander Straker pulled six lengths clear of the 3rd. The pair were split by a length that day and Estate is now 8lbs better off and with Andrew Balding in top form after nine winners from 46 runners over the last two weeks, a 20% win rate. Travelled very well last time at Bath and likely more to come up in trip with most of the sires progeny being at their best over six furlongs and the mare also being better over further. A maiden hasn’t won this since 2004 but there’s a few maidens with strong form in this renewal that can break that stat with the current favourite Keep Bidding and Estate amongst the potentials

EXCEL POWER is improving at a rate of knots winning his last three and six wins from 11 runs in his career to date. He has three wins from three runs over one mile and very impressive last time despite sweating up and was awkward out of the gates. Four-year-olds have won this nine times in the last 19 years and horses rated 90 and above have also won nine times in that time. Hollie Doyle has a solid strike rate when riding for Archie Watson despite riding for the yard 92 times this season and winning 20 of those times, a 22% win rate. Leading or with the lead as been crucial in past renewals of this with only two of the last nine being held up and being on the pace from a low draw is an advantage.

Horses rated at least 98 have won four of the last five renewals of this and horses at the top of the handicap have a very good record. CAP FRANCAIS has returned this season in top form and still is well handicapped on his best form and runs here off the same mark as when 2nd at Chester last time when unfashionably held up. Has ran well here before on only visit to date when 2nd to Group 1 winner Cape Of Good Hope who’s now rated 116 and plenty in behind were very decent also with the 3rd rated 112 and Group placed when last seen also. Ian Williams has a good record at Epsom with his older horses over the last five years boasting five winners from 25 runners, a 20% win rate. William Buick shows a big profit to £1 stake when riding for the yard after 11 winners from 76 rides over the last five years.

WITH THE MOONLIGHT was visually very impressive last time at Newmarket when kicking on a long way out and sticking to the task until the line, race has taken a few knocks but she was miles the best that day. Charlie Appleby seems to constantly be in good form and as sent out three winners from his last eight runners and has a massive 42% win rate at Epsom for a huge profit to £1 stake also. That strike rate and profit is equally impressive with three-year-old runners here, a 43% win rate instead. William Buick is equally brilliant around here with a 24% win rate for a big profit also (27% on three-year-olds) With The Moonlight was always going to make a better three-year-old and her brother Dream Castle didn’t make the track until three but was then a Group 1 winner.

TOP SECRET was very unlucky to get pegged for the win last time at Newbury when passing the winner nicely and running on well but the winner rallied and got back up by a nose. That form has been franked since and it’s interesting Hollie Doyle keeps the ride to try and further enhance her 21% win rate for the yard. The yard also rarely come here with one that doesn’t have a chance boasting a 30% win rate here over the last five years from the 10 runners.
