ITV Racing Tips: Three tips for Lingfield and Chelmsford

With Ascot and Haydock forced to abandon their National Hunt cards on Saturday afternoon, ITV Racing have quickly switched to the all-weather meetings at Lingfield Park and Chelmsford City, as they host eight races. Our in-house tipster Steve Chambers has gone through the cards and has picked out his best bets...
13:15 Lingfield - BetUK Over 40,000 Live Streamed Races Handicap
There's a hugely competitive 5f 6y contest at 13:15 and vying for favouritism at the time of writing are the Richard Hughes-trained Bethersden Boy and Dean Ivory's Yimou, but that pair are worth taking on with a potentially attractively handicapped contender in the shape of Darryll Holland's LILKIAN, who is a 7/1 chance.
A winner off a mark of 75 over course and distance back in May, the five-year-old has now dropped in the weights and will line up in this event off 70. He will have the benefit of 7lbs claimer Liam Wright on his back for this event and having failed to land a blow over six furlongs last time out the drop back to the minimum trip of five furlongs should see him at his best. He's been extremely busy of late, but has shaped with promise on several occasions and has a great chance of landing this prize here.

14:05 Chelmsford City - Betfred Merry Christmas Handicap
A comfortable length winner at Wolverhampton on Monday, the Alice Haynes-trained Vitesse Du Son will be a hot favourite to follow up in the 14:05 at Chelmsford, and while he will have the burden of a penalty for this contest he has to be the one to beat in what looks a mediocre affair on Saturday afternoon.
One potential danger is Ali Stronge's LAKE SAND, who is the mount of Luke Morris, and this former course and distance winner is now lower than his last winning mark, so if he can find his best form then he has to be an eye-catching runner here over one mile. A winner off 56 just over a year ago, Lake Sand will line up on Saturday off 51 and he shaped with promise last time out when fourth of 12 at the track, so if he can improve on that effort then he could well run a big race here.

14:25 Lingfield - Top Odds Every Day With BetUK Handicap
Jean-Rene Auvray's Ummsuquaim was a shock 28/1 winner at Lingfield last month and the three-year-old filly will attempt to show that wasn't a fluke when bidding for back-to-back Lingfield wins in the 14:25 race on Saturday afternoon. Prominent in the betting, she will face some notable rivals including Vision Of Hope and Capricorn Prince, who both sit towards the head of the betting, but it could be worth looking for an each-way alternative at double-figured odds.
Currently a best-priced 12/1 chance, at the time of writing, Michael Attwater's former course and distance winner SAVOY BROWN could at least sneak a place as he's been dropped 2lbs for his recent outing at Lingfield. A winner off 50, he will line up off 47 in this contest, but he will have form to find with the abovementioned Ummsuquaim, but he's significantly better off at the weights in this event. He's sure to get a lot closer to the Auvray charge in this contest and at eye-catching double-figured odds he could be the one to side with here.
