Cesarewitch Meeting Day 2 Tips: Check out our best bets at Newmarket on Saturday

There's a stunning card at Newmarket taking place on Saturday, with some superb racing on ITV racing, as day two of the Cesarewitch Meeting takes centre stage, and our man Steve Chambers has picked out three bets for the weekend action at Flat HQ...
13:45 Newmarket - Godolphin Flying Start Zetland Stakes
Some exciting two-year-olds will do battle in the Group 3 Zetland Stakes at 13:45, and it appears that Godolphin have an extremely strong duo taking their chance in the 1m 2f event, which is one of the feature races on Saturday afternoon. Charlie Appleby saddles a pair of Godolphin runners and heading the betting, at the time of writing is the exciting Hafit, who is looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat at Haydock Park last time out. Having impressed on debut with a win over Razzle Dazzle, the son of Dubawi then was beaten by Triple Time last month in a Listed event. He will relish the step up from a mile in this event, but he's awfully short around the 15/8 mark, and it could be worth siding with his exciting stablemate Goldspur.
Available around the 7/2 mark at the moment, GOLDSPUR has only been seen on the track once, but left a lasting impression when storming to a six-and-a-half length victory at Sandown Park last month. That came in soft conditions, so he may have to deal with quicker underfoot conditions on Saturday, should the current good to soft ground remain, but he should have no problems acting on the ground, and looks an exciting juvenile.
Another son of Dubawi, Goldspur is stepping up from a mile for the Zetland, and like Hafit he should have no issues seeing out the trip, and while others like the Aidan O'Brien-trained Bluegrass and Donnacha O'Brien's Unconquerable look talented individuals it's Goldspur that could be the best of this bunch, and it's worth siding with him.

14:55 Newmarket - Darley Dewhurst Stakes
It could be a profitable afternoon for the Godolphin operation with Native Trail lining up in the Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes as a red-hot odds-on favourite, and he looks to be a really exciting juvenile that can enhance his Classic claims with victory here. A mightily-impressive three-and-a-half length winner of the Group 1 National Stakes at the Curragh last time out, the son of Oasis Dream shaped like he could be a real star of the future, and if he can replicate that run then he will take all the beating here.
With eight runners declared for the 7f event, then each-way punters may enjoy getting stuck into this event, and there could be some eye-catching value further down the betting. One that catches the eye is the outsider of the entire field, Dhabab, who may only have one win on his CV, but he has some strong form to make note of, and at 33/1 is a great price.
Sixth in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot, DHABAB then ran a stormer when finishing third to the abovementioned Native Trail in the Group 2 Superlative Stakes at Newmarket, which came over Saturday's trip of seven furlongs, and he was only less than two lengths behind Native Trail that day. He was a close fourth in the Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury, which is another solid form line, and while there are more unexposed types taking their chance here, Dhabab could be a horse that can run a huge race in defeat, and he can grab a top three spot.

15:35 Newmarket - Together For Racing International Cesarewitch Handicap
A monster field will head to the 2m 2f start for the hotly-anticipated renewal of the Cesarewitch Handicap at 15:35, and star Irish National Hunt handler Willie Mullins is bidding for an astonishing fourth win on the bounce, and the master of Closutton will unleash a six-pronged attack at the marathon event.
Spearheading the Mullins team is the Ryan Moore-ridden M C Muldoon, who is the current favourite, and lines up here on the back of a novice hurdle win at Galway. Last seen on the Flat finishing second in the Ascot Stakes at Royal Ascot off a mark of 96, M C Muldoon will take his chance off 100 on Saturday, and he looks to stand a terrific chance, if building on that Ascot run. Others from the Mullins yard that catch the eye include 2020 Triumph Hurdle winner Burning Victory, who will be another switching the jumping sphere for a crack on the Flat, while Foveros is another leading contender for the Mullins clan.
Nicky Henderson last won this race back in 2008 with Caracciola, and the Seven Barrows trainer will saddle the smart hurdler Buzz, who is an intriguing runner, while the Richard Hughes-trained Calling The Wind is another figure at the forefront at the betting, and warrants respect.
However, it can be a race that goes the way of a Flat trainer this season, and Saeed bin Suroor's LIVE YOUR DREAM has been a hugely progressive staying handicapper all campaign, and could still produce better in what is an event that will play to his strengths. An impressive winner of a Newmarket event back in July off a mark of 94, the son of Iffraaj then missed out at a crack at the Ebor having been ante-post favourite for that race, but he showed he can land a blow off his new mark of 101 last time out when he finished second in the Cesarewitch Trial over course and distance.
Beaten by Turnpike Tip that day, Live Your Dream pulled way clear of the rest of the field, and he's been kept on the same mark of 101 by the handicapper for this prize, which is a huge boost. Exciting 5lb claimer Adam Farragher has been given the ride by the Godolphin team for this event, so that is another huge bonus for supporters of the four-year-old, and at double-figured odds he warrants a bet in what is a hugely competitive renewal.
