Murphy raider fancied to perform well in Southwell handicap
Unfortunately, yesterday’s selection was a non-runner due to persistent, heavy rain forcing officials to abandon the card at Exeter Races after just three races.
There is just one bet today. Good luck!
Southwell Tip
AZZECCAGARBUGLI (NAP at 7/1) was a three-time Listed winner as a two-year-old in Italy and came to Britain with an impressive record of 11 wins from just 24 starts. Although he is yet to win in 15 starts for Marco Botti and Mike Murphy, he has been placed on numerous occasions - including in a higher grade. He’s now dropped down to a handicap mark 25lbs lower than when he first came over, and he will have another 5lbs taken off his back today as a result of Kevin Lundie’s claim.
He comes in to this race in good form having finished second in his last two outings. They’ve both been in a lower class of race, but he ran well and should be very dangerous if taking to the fibresand surface (14:45).
