Today's Horse Racing Tips: Three bets for Ayr on Monday

With our resident tipster Chris Baker off today, our in-house Steve Chambers has taken up the reins of providing some racing tips on Monday and he has three selections at Ayr worth watching...
Ayr Tips
St Andrew's Castle and Stromboli locked horns last time out with the former coming out a nose in front, but the latter can reverse the form this afternoon in the 14:30 at Ayr, when the pair clash again. David O'Meara's Stromboli improved on his second outing in that recent Ayr defeat, and he will return to the Scottish venue on Monday to try and down St Andrew's Castle. He should do that with ease, but newcomer Last Crusader could be the biggest danger, as he was a relatively pricey son of Oasis Dream, and he could be a fairly decent performer.

Mick Easterby's Sam's Call is yet to taste victory, but he has some creditable performances on his CV, and the four-year-old can finally break his maiden tag this afternoon in the 15:05 event at Ayr. Last seen finishing third at Musselburgh over five furlongs, Sam's Call will step up to six furlongs this afternoon, which shouldn't pose a problem, and having been kept on the same mark of 63 for today's contest he looks the solid option in a mediocre contest.

Grant Tuer's Royal Jazz broke her maiden tag in fine style last time out when winning at Musselburgh, and the filly can continue on an upward curve on Monday and land back-to-back wins in the 15:40 race. She has been given a 5lb rise by the handicapper, which is more than fair, but she shaped like there could be more to come over 5f, and while the consistent Cometh The Man should pose a few problems, Royal Jazz can outbattle that rival in the closing stages.
