Today's Horse Racing Tips: Misson to bag Carlisle win, as Edraak can star at Windsor

There are three bets for today’s racing at Carlisle, Newcastle and Windsor.
Carlisle Tip
16:50 – 5f VI Aesthetics Honours Lesley Maxwell Handicap (Class 6)
Having finished in the first three places in 15 of her 18 starts (including 8 out of 9 on turf), YUKON MISSION (1 point win bet at 4/1) deserves to get her head in front and is given one more chance to record a first career success. John Quinn’s four-year-old filly has filled the runner up spot in four of her last six races, including over this course and distance back in May. A stiff five furlongs, such as this test at Carlisle, would appear to be her optimum, and she is 2lb lower than for her last run here, which came in a much higher grade of race. The booking of Josephine Gordon is another positive as she is the most experienced jockey in the race.

Newcastle Tip
18:07 – 5f MansionBet Watch And Bet Handicap (Class 6)
NIAGARA (1 point win bet at 7/2) is also fancied to break his maiden status today. This four-year-old son of Power hadn’t been running badly since making his reappearance back in April and took a big step forward at Redcar last time out. He seemed to appreciate the return to the minimum trip that day and led for a long way before being collared close home. Related to several winners, Eric Alston’s representative looks sure to get off the mark in this grade soon. Jason Hart’s mount will wear cheekpieces for the first time today and that could make the difference.
Niagara
Windsor Tip
18:45 – 6f Fitzdares Sprint Series Final Handicap (Class 2)
After finishing second on his racecourse debut, EDRAAK (NAP – 1 point win bet at 4/1) was sold by Hamdan Al Maktoum and joined Michael Appleby from Owen Burrows. It was no surprise to see him make his debut for the yard on the All-Weather and he recorded a very comfortable three-length win over six furlongs at Newcastle. His nine starts since have produced three wins and three placed efforts, so at just £13,000 this classy five-year-old looks to have been an extremely shrewd purchase
One of his recent victories came over this course and distance and was a clear career best effort. Having travelled well throughout, he finished strongly to record an impressive three length success. Oisin Murphy was on board that day and gets back on for the first time since. Murphy has been in fine form of late and has a 26% strike rate (12 winners from 47 rides) when riding for Appleby in the last five years.
