Today's Horse Racing Tips: Skycutter to score at Ripon on Monday

There is one bet for today’s racing at Ripon.
Ripon Tip
20:00 – 1m2f Ripon, Yorkshire’s Garden Racecourse Handicap (Class 3)
This ten-furlong handicap can go to SKYCUTTER (NAP – 1 point win bet at 6/1), who will be making his British/stable/handicap debut having been recruited from France. The handicapper has shown him plenty of respect by allotting an opening mark of 88, and former Champion Jockey Paul Hanagan takes the ride.
After ending 2020 with a comfortable win over ten furlongs, he finished second on his seasonal reappearance (first and third have won since) and then ran well in a Listed race at Chantilly when last seen 62 days ago. His momentum got checked when going for a run up the rails that day but he kept on under a hands and heels ride to finish within four lengths of a horse that went on to be fourth in the Group 1 Prix Du Jockey Club next time. The horse in second has also run well since, finishing a close second in Listed company, so the form looks strong.
Trainer Philip Kirby has pulled him out twice due to quicker ground in the last two months but he should finally get his preferred conditions at Ripon with plenty of rain falling over the weekend and more forecast throughout today.
Kettle Hill and Ridgeway, the two market leaders, are obvious dangers and warrant plenty of respect.
