Today's Horse Racing Tips: Boundless to Power to Doncaster win

There are three bets for today’s racing at Doncaster and Cheltenham.
Doncaster Tips
15:50 – 6f Virgin Bet Doncaster Stakes (Listed)
Flaming Rib is the clear pick on form having won his last three starts. However, he is up against some improving types and his price is plenty short enough. An each-way chance (first two places) is therefore taken on MOHI (0.5 point each-way bet at 10/1), who has won his last two races at Wolverhampton and looks to be a horse on the upgrade. Out of a Listed winning mare, Clive Cox’s juvenile sprinter made it 2-2 in nurseries 12 days ago. That performance can be marked up as he didn’t enjoy the clearest of runs and had to be brought wide into the straight. That won’t be an issue today over this straight six furlongs and Hector Crouch keeps the ride.
Mohi (EW)
16:20 – 5f Virgin Bet Handicap (Class 2)
Conditions look ideal for BOUNDLESS POWER (NAP - 1 point win bet at 5/1), who has strong claims of landing this sprint handicap. Having shown some promise when trained in Ireland, he moved to join Michael Appleby for this season and has finished in the first three places in all but three of his nine starts. He has won three times in that period, including in a Class 2 contest at Ascot last time out. That built on a very good second in the Portland Handicap here at Doncaster, where only the subsequent Group 3 winner Hurricane Ivor was ahead of him. He is very effective on soft ground and will take some beating today. Sunday Sovereign and Dakota Gold complete the shortlist.

Cheltenham Tip
14:20 – 3m1f 888Sport What’s Your Thinking Handicap Chase (Class 2)
Cloth Cap lines up off a big weight after enjoying an excellent 2020/21 campaign. He looks set for another good year but may be in need of the run. The two Irish challengers both come here race fit and that could give them a big advantage. Preference is for the Gordon Elliott-trained DEFINITE PLAN (1 point win bet at 7/1), who makes his handicap debut off just 131. With four seconds from his five starts since May, he’ll be fully tuned up for today and has been fitted with cheekpieces for the first time. This will be a big step up in class but he has a nice weight, is completely unexposed in this sphere and has to be respected having been sent on the long journey.
