Today's Horse Racing Tips: Back this trio at Epsom on Tuesday

There's a seven race card at Epsom Downs on Tuesday afternoon, and our in-house tipster Steve Chambers has three tips for the Flat action at the home of The Derby...

Flying high at the top of the Flat jockey standings, Oisin Murphy will be looking to maintain his red-hot form through August on Tuesday afternoon, and the champion jockey can notch up his 119th success in the opening event at 13:45 as he can pilot Great Havana to victory. The Andrew Balding-trained son of Havana Gold broke his maiden tag at the fourth time of asking when landing a Ffos Las contest by half-a-length, and he's only been given a 4lb rise for that nursery success, so a mark of 71 still looks workable for this nicely bred colt. Rightly heading the betting, Great Havana can prove to be a cut above his rivals and land this prize with aplomb.

Classy sprint handicapper Kimifive has found it tough to get his head in front of late, but a return to Epsom this afternoon could prove to be the making of the six-year-old, who is looking to sparkle for new trainer David Bridgwater in the 14:50 race. Back in June the six-year-old was a fine third over course and distance whilst under the trainership of Joseph Tuite, when lining up off 92, so a mark of 88 looks extremely attractive in today's event, if reproducing that effort. He failed to beat a rival home last time out at Goodwood, but a return to Epsom can prove to be the key to him and with only four rivals to beat he can strike gold here.

Chris Dwyer's Sir Oliver will have the burden of top weight in the 15:25 at Epsom, but if he can produce his best form then the four-year-old could prove to be a touch above his rivals in a competitive-looking contest. A winner at Brighton back in June off a mark of 74, Sir Oliver will line up off a 1lb higher mark this afternoon, so he's attractively handicapped to go close, and having ran well at Brighton last time out on his current mark of 75 then he's more than capable of landing this event. Joseph Parr's Arthur's Victory could prove to be the biggest danger as she aims to land a hat-trick of wins, but she's been gradually going up the handicap and may struggle with another rise.
