Today's Horse Racing Tips: De Chasse to Galop to Ludlow victory
There's a seven-race National Hunt card taking place at Ludlow on Wednesday afternoon, and our in-house tipster Steve Chambers has picked out his best bets on the card...
A hugely impressive five-and-a-half length winner on his British debut, GALOP DE CHASSE will bid for a second victory over fences on Wednesday afternoon, and the Venetia Williams-trained six-year-old can duly notch that success when lining up in the 13:30 at Ludlow. Victorious off a mark of 112 in that Lingfield event, Galop De Chasse showed there's more to come over fences as he was an excellent second at Huntingdon off a mark of 119 last month. Running off a 1lb higher mark today, the Williams raider can defy top weight and get his head in front.
Alan King's ISOLATE was last seen running an excellent race at Ludlow when finishing second, and the Barbury Castle inmate can go one better this afternoon by landing victory in the 14:30 contest. Second off a mark of 120, Isolate will take his chance off the same mark today, and having pulled 19 lengths of the third in his last outing then he could still be ahead of the handicapper. He will need to sharpen his jumping in today's contest, if he is to take the prize, but off 120 he has to be a notable contender.
Olly Murphy's FOXINTHEBOX put up a disappointing effort last time out when pulling up at Market Rasen, but he showed glimpses of potential when fourth at Warwick on his hurdles debut, so if he can replicate that today then he can star in the 15:30 event at Ludlow. He produced a fine bumper debut last season when second at Aintree, and having ran well at Warwick on hurdles debut, if he can replicate that display then he has to be a notable challenger in a wide open betting heat.
