I was delighted to land two winners at Goodwood yesterday with course specialist Atalanta’s Boy (10/1) showing his class before Toro Strike (7/2) landed the Group 3 race on the card.

Bounty Pursuit has a fine record here at Chepstow and looks to have a good chance of following up his recent course and distance victory. However, at a bigger price, a chance is taken on ALCAZAN (NAP – 1 point win bet at 9/1) being able to transfer her good All Weather form to the turf. After three runs in maiden/novice company, she won her first two handicap starts at Lingfield and Chelmsford before going close in a higher grade when last seen. She’s been given a break since that run and lines up here off the same handicap mark (with the added advantage of a 5lb weight for age allowance). Regular jockey William Carson takes the ride and is likely to take up a prominent position from stall 2.
