Today's Racing Tips: A look at Lingfield on Thursday

There are two bets for today’s racing at Lingfield.
Lingfield Tips
14:13 – 1m5f Coral EBF River Eden Fillies’ Stakes (Listed)
The beautifully bred SAYYIDA (1 point win bet at 11/4) is a half sister to the Derby winner Masar and can benefit from the step up in trip to 1m5f. A dual winner over 1m4f, she was unsuited by the drop back to ten furlongs at Newmarket last time out. The greater stamina test today will be in her favour and a repeat of the form she showed when runner up in Group 3 and Listed company recently (sent off as favourite on both occasions) would make her hard to beat. William Buick, who narrowly missed out on the 2021 Champion Jockey title, knows the horse well and keeps the ride. Breaking from stall 5 will allow him to take up a prominent position against the rails, and he can guide this daughter of Dubawi to a winning all-weather debut. Sea La Rosa, a consistent performer for William Haggas, and Beholding, who has made a fine start to her career, are feared most and will also benefit from the 6lb weight for age allowance.

15:23 – 1m Coral EBF Fleur De Lys Fillies’ Stakes (Listed)
It could be another good day for the Godolphin team with DUBAI LOVE (NAP - 1 point win bet at 5/1) fancied to land this Listed race over a mile. Pat Cosgrave and Saeed Bin Suroor teamed up to win the Golden Horn maiden at Nottingham yesterday, and Cosgrave now gets back on board this daughter of Night Of Thunder for the first time since January. Her recent defeat at Newmarket should have sharpened her up for this as it came following a 218-day break and wind surgery. Prior to that, she had been running well in Dubai, where she was a Listed winner as well as being placed multiple times in decent races. With an official rating of 101, she’s the joint highest rated horse in the line up and will break from a good draw in stall 2. Maamora and Kestenna complete the shortlist.
