Horse Racing Tips: Savage to hand Nigel a Noble winner at Wincanton

Just one horse has been selected by three experts in the naps table today as their best bet of the day, with abandonments and non-runners causing chaos in the competition. The three who have gone for the same selection at Southwell have definitely taken the wiser route on a day with a forecast as wild as today's, and the selection they have gone for looks to have outstanding claims for William Haggas and Danny Tudhope.

The horse in question is Burnish, a 6/5 chance at the time of writing in the 14:25 contest. This son of Kingman put in a career best effort last time out 16 days ago when winning a handicap over his course and distance with a late burst of speed, a trademark of his sire. Haggas looks to have eked out the best from Burnish and if he is in the same form he should take all the beating here off a fair mark, despite the presence of some potential improvers in the field behind him.

The most profitable of the three tipster pages to support Burnish is MyRacing, who currently sit in tenth on the leaderboard with a profit of £4.29. With all the non-runners and abandonments, they can leapfrog a few ahead of them and start to climb the table should Burnish do the business.

Later on this evening Newcastle's card will be well underway by 19:15 and in that race we will see the Nap of the leader Postdata strut his stuff. Showing a profit of £27.86, Postdata has been in phenomenal form this campaign and they're siding with One Hart, 3/1 at the time of writing, to claim the spoils. The six year old did very well indeed to win a C&D handicap a fortnight ago when he hit plenty of traffic problems and Grant Tuer looks to have got him back to his old self.

On his best form he is still leniently treated here and he should take all the beating up in the North East under Sam James. Today doesn't seem to be a day for picking wild outsiders in the Naps competition, with the biggest priced pick being a four way tie at 10/1. The selections are: Jet Smart and By Pass, both running at Wincanton, and Ludden Lass and Too Much running at Southwell.

Of the four tipsters to pick a double figured poke as their best bet, only one of them is in profit and that is Rory Delargy of The Irish Field. He has gone with By Pass at Wincanton  Delargy is clearly forgiving his last disappointing effort at Ludlow, and if he can take advantage of a seven pound claimer in the saddle he could feature in the shake-up come the finishing post.
