13:15 Ayr - Virgin Bet Daily Price Boosts Handicap
Richard Spencer's REVICH put up a bold bid for victory from stall 10 at Chester last time out as the seven-year-old finished a very creditable third and he will look to build on that effort on Saturday when he lines up in the opening 1m handicap at 13:15. A winner of this race back in 2021 off a mark of 92, Revich then put up a bold bid for glory in last year's contest as he finished third and now only 3lbs higher than his win in this race two years ago he can bound to victory once again here.
Unable to figure in the Golden Mile Handicap at Glorious Goodwood two starts ago, he bounced back to form at Chester and if he can build on that effort on a return to Ayr then he looks more than capable of getting the better of the likes of Isla Kai, Titan Rock and Koy Koy, who all sit prominently in the betting for a wide open curtain-raiser to Ayr Gold Cup day.

14:25 Ayr - Virgin Bet Ayr Silver Cup Handicap
There's a real punting head-scratcher at 14:25 with the Ayr Silver Cup attracting a hugely competitive field and the hat-trick-seeking Rathbone looks the one to beat in this 6f sprint handicap. However, Jim Goldie's CALL ME GINGER has been in tremendous form of late and he can return to winning ways having failed to land a blow in the Portland Handicap at Doncaster last weekend.
He headed to Town Moor on the back of wins at Chester and Ascot, which has seen him rocket up the handicap, but the consistent seven-year-old has winning form at Ayr and wasn't disgraced when finishing eighth last weekend. Providing that event hasn't taken too much out of him then he will enjoy the step back up to six furlongs for this race and he can make it three wins from his last four outings.
15:15 Newbury - Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes
Fifth in the Coventry Stakes back in June, Richard Hannon's HAATEM got his place in the limelight when storming to Group 2 glory in the Vintage Stakes at Glorious Goodwood back in early August, but he blotted his copybook last time out when down the field in the Gimcrack Stakes at York. Looking to return to winning ways, the Phoenix Of Spain colt is a fascinating contender in a competitive-looking renewal of the Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury on Saturday, which could be a race that throws up some 2000 Guineas clues.
Hannon's charge will have to carry a 3lbs penalty, so will have to give weight to all his rivals, but the way he managed to quickened up to claim victory in the Vintage suggested he's a really classy juvenile. That success over seven furlongs came in good to soft ground, so connections could hope the rain comes a little, but he's performed to a high level for most of this season and he can get the better of the progressive pairing of Mister Sketch and Seven Questions, who both sit prominently in the betting.

15:35 Ayr - Virgin Bet Ayr Gold Cup Handicap
The betting highlight of the day is the hugely competitive Ayr Gold Cup, which takes centre stage at 15:35 and there are a whole host of top notch sprint handicappers bidding for glory and the likes Orazio, Significantly and last year's winner Summerghand are prominent figures in the betting. However, there's another towards the head of the market that makes the most appeal and that is the dual Royal Ascot winner ROHAAN who can bounce back to form with aplomb here and storm to victory.
The David Evans-trained five-year-old has been struggling to land any sort of blow of late, but he's been gradually slipping down the handicap and he's now 5lbs lower than the mark he won the 2022 Wokingham Stakes off of. He will need significant luck in running, as he will be doing all his best work in the closing stages and he will be looking to storm through beaten horses, but he is the obvious class act in the race and if he can recapture any thing like his best form then he can bound to success here.
