Ryanair Chase Entries 2023: Allaho the star attraction in 27 entries for Grade 1 at Chelteham Festival

Dual Ryanair Chase winner Allaho is one of 27 horses entered for the 2023 Ryanair Chase, which will be run on day three of the Cheltenham Festival on March 16, and the aforementioned Willie Mullins-trained raider will be a hot favourite for the 2m 5f contest. We take a look at the entries here and have all the latest odds for what should be a superb renewal of the Grade 1 event...
A stunning 12-length winner of the 2021 Ryanair Chase, Allaho produced an even more dominant performance in last year's Ryanair as the Closutton sensation romped to a staggering 14-length success and he's the star attraction amongst the 27 horses entered for the 2023 renewal. He followed up with a stunning victory in the Grade 1 Punchestown Gold Cup at the Punchestown Festival last season to emphasise his dominance at the top level and with no entry in either of the Cheltenham Gold Cup entries or Queen Mother Champion Chase entries he will be bound for this event again.
Bidding for the hat-trick at the 2023 festival on day three of the National Hunt extravaganza, Allaho is yet to be seen on the track so far this season, but such has been his brilliance in this event he is already a red-hot favourite to claim a fabulous third success and it's hard to take him on in what should be a potentially hugely competitive renewal.
A fascinating entry in this year's Ryanair Chase is former Arkle and Champion Chase hero Shishkin, who is set to be stepped up in trip by Nicky Henderson after he failed to fire in the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown Park. Pulled up early in the Champion Chase last season, the Seven Barrows raider struggled on his comeback run and Henderson has pointed at a step up in trip and at 7/1 in the ante-post betting he's interesting.
Allaho's stablemate Blue Lord was a fine winner at Leopardstown over Christmas and holds an entry here alongsides one in the Champion Chase and he's the current second favourite, while the potential Cheltenham Gold Cup bound pairing of Galopin Des Champs and Stattler also hold an entry here for team Mullins, but it's unlikely either take their chance here.

Former Ryanair Chase runner-up Fakir D'Oudairies could be set for another crack at this event, but Joseph O'Brien's charge will need to improve significantly on his run in the John Durkan Memorial Chase at Punchestown last month and he is a classy performer that adds significant depth to the race.
A fine winner of the Savills Chase and a faller in the Ryanair back in March, Conflated has been entered for this contest, but connections and his trainer Gordon Elliott has suggested that the Cheltenham Gold Cup is the likely port of call for the former Irish Gold Cup winner.
Paddy Power Gold Cup hero Ga Law could return to the scene of his biggest career success and is another eye-catching entry, while the likes of Envoi Allen, Chacun Pour Soi, Fury Road and Eldorado Allen add more depth to the event that is sure to be a scorching contest in a couple of months time.
