Cheltenham Festival Wednesday Racecards

1.30pm - Ballymore Novices' Hurdle (Grade 1)

A Grade 1 contest over two miles and five furlongs, which has been won by some big names in recent years, including Faugheen in 2014 and Samcro in 2018.

2.10pm - RSA Chase (Grade 1)

A Grade 1 novice chase for staying chasers, run over three miles, which regularly throws up a future Cheltenham Gold Cup contender. The last horse to win both races was the Jim Culloty-trained Lord Windermere, who won the RSA in 2013 before following up in the Gold Cup a year later.

2.50pm - Coral Cup (Grade 3)

A fiercely competitive handicap hurdle and one of the big betting races of the day, run over two miles and five furlong.

3.30pm - Queen Mother Champion Chase (Grade 1)

The feature race on the second day of the Cheltenham Festival, and the second of five 'Championship' races during the week.

4.10pm - Cross Country Chase (Class 2)

A race for specialists, which has been used as a warm-up for the dual Grand National winner Tiger Roll for the past two years - winning on both occasions.

4.50pm - Fred Winter Juvenile Hurdle (Grade 3)

Seen as a consolation race for those who don't get into Friday's Triumph Hurdle, some smart four-year-olds have won the Fred Winter.

5.30pm - Champion Bumper (Grade 1)

A unique race in the line-up in that no fences are jumped. The Champion Bumper is the pinnacle of the bumper division, which consists of races which are designed to give horses who don't have a career on the Flat experience of racing under Rules. Recent winners include Cue Card (2010), Ballyandy (2016) and Envoi Allen (2019).
