Royal Ascot Friday Racecards
With seven races set to light up Friday's racing at Royal Ascot, there's an uncharacteristic start to the days action as the Palace Of Holyroodhouse Handicap is the curtain-raiser. Followed by an exhilarating renewal of the Albany Stakes, which will see the juveniles take to the track in race two, while that contest is followed by the Norfolk Stakes, which is another chance for the youngsters to shine.
A strong field will assemble for the Hardwicke Stakes, which is fourth on the racecard, while race five will be the day's highlight as the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup will prove to be a hugely enthralling contest as some of the speediest three-year-old attempt to etch their name on an short, but illustrious roll of honour.
Day four of the Royal meeting concludes with a brace of races that should throw up some fine contests. Sixth on the racecard is the Queen's Vase Stakes, which should be a decent staying event that could throw up a St Leger contender, while the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes will finish Friday's action at the Berkshire venue.
